About Us

Snooty Ooty was born out of a love of India and a love of creating.

 

Born to a British mum & Indian dad I wanted to visit India to get a better understanding of my Indian heritage and its safe to say I fell in love!

Travelling with my friend in 2008 we ended up in Varkala, Kerala in the South of India where we discovered a small workshop and shop that made sterling silver & gold jewellery.

​

I was able to design pieces and see them made within days and this reignited my own passion for making and creating and so I decided to use the skills I had learnt from my studies in arts & crafts to start making my own handcrafted Sterling Silver Jewellery.

I am continually learning and trying to improve my skills by researching and more importantly by going back to that same workshop, Jewels Sky.

 

Since 2009 I have returned every year designing and sitting alongside the goldsmiths to try and improve myself.

​

A lot has changed since my first visit but every year I learn more and I am on a mission to push & challenge myself further.
